About Indonesisch Restaurant Mulia

As someone introducing a favorite spot, I’m excited to talk about Indonesisch Restaurant Mulia Restaurant, better known locally as Indonesisch Restaurant Mulia, a welcoming restaurant tucked into Vriesestraat 11, 3311 NN Dordrecht, Netherlands. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels relaxed and friendly, the kind of place where conversations flow easily and the aromas from the kitchen spark instant curiosity. The menu reflects classic Indonesian comfort with a modern, approachable touch, making it easy for newcomers and seasoned fans to find something they love. Whether you choose to dine in and soak up the cozy setting or grab a quick takeaway on a busy day, the experience feels thoughtfully put together. I often recommend this place because the offerings are genuinely versatile; you can enjoy a good cup of coffee in the afternoon, share small plates with friends in the evening, or pair a full meal with beer, wine, or a carefully selected spirit. There’s also a clear effort to be inclusive, which I appreciate, with vegetarian options, vegan options, and lighter, healthy options that never feel like an afterthought. The balance between bold flavors and fresh ingredients keeps each dish satisfying without being overwhelming, while the service style remains easygoing and attentive. What really stands out to me is how Indonesisch Restaurant Mulia Restaurant fits naturally into the rhythm of Dordrecht life, serving as a casual meeting point, a reliable dinner choice, or a relaxed stop for a drink. It’s the kind of restaurant you mention to friends when they ask for something authentic yet comfortable, a place where Indonesian flavors are presented with confidence and warmth, and where every visit feels familiar but never boring. Because of its central location, it’s easy to drop by after shopping or before an evening walk, and the relaxed restaurant vibe makes lingering over another drink feel completely natural, especially when the table fills with shared plates and easy laughter.

One of a kind place, running for years by a family. They put their heart into food they serve. I love the interior that resembles history of their own and the place.

Adorable family run business. Rice table was nice in variety and I liked the (what I believed to be) lemongrass twist in the satay sauce.

One of the best traditional Indonesian restaurant that I'm aware of! They always take great care in preparing the food, which can take a bit of time but you can definitely taste that! (If you don't like that, go to Mac Donalds :-)) Highly recommended! Great traditional atmosphere.

Very friendly owner and generous portion of food. The food was superb especially the satay and fritters. Both my brother and I felt super stuffed after we tried to finish the 13 dishes including 8 meat and seafood dishes under Mulia Rijstafel. It’s a pity we didn’t try bakmi or bee hoon coz we were served with white rice and nasi goreng. Maybe next time when we pass by again we can try these.

Simply the very very best Indonesian restaurant in Dordrecht and the surrounding areas. Everything is freshly prepared in the most authentic way I've come across in the Netherlands. It's affordable too! Definitely 5+ star.
